About the Director

Dance Creations Inc. is owned and operated by Natalie Di Michele. Natalie has been dancing for over twenty-five years, and teaching for over ten years. During that time her passion for the performing arts has grown a great deal. Natalie is certified under the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (P.A.E.C) and Acrobatic Arts. She has trained in ballet, jazz, acro, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, hip hop, salsa, contemporary and modern dance. Natalie continues to take classes in Toronto, and has travelled to New York City, Las Vegas and Arizona to keep up-to-date with the dance world, enhance her dance ability, learn different teaching techniques and proper training methods to ensure her students are properly executing movement in a way that is safe for their bodies. Natalie has always been extremely committed to her dancing, being a competitive student for ten years; she would train up to six days a week. Natalie was an assistant teacher from the age of twelve, and began teaching by the time she was sixteen. She continued her dance education at Ryerson University, where she had the chance to learn from teachers who have performed on Broadway and for the National Ballet of Canada. After Ryerson, Natalie attended York University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While completing her undergraduate degree at York University, She had the chance to study courses which focused on children, disorders, anatomy, and health; this has enabled her to be better equipped when dealing with issues such as bullying, self-esteem, body image, healthy eating and injury prevention. She has developed a teaching style that makes it enjoyable for her students, and keeps them motivated to work to their fullest potential. Natalie’s competitive students have excelled under her instruction; being accepted into schools for the performing arts, winning numerous overalls for highest marks, receiving most potential awards, choreographer choice awards, and being recognized at competitions for beautiful costumes, age appropriate choreography, and well rehearsed routines. Natalie Di Michele is excited about meeting new students, sharing her love for dance, and running a dance studio where everyone feels welcomed!
